In collaboration with our departmental and community partners, Kinship Care Services' mission is to provide information, resources, services and support to relative caregivers and their children to enhance the family unit promoting permanency, safety and reduced reliance on detentions.

Resource Centers

Services are designed to assist relative caregivers in maintaining the kinship family unit and include:

  • Information and Referral

  • Family Enhancement

  • Permanency Planning

  • Support Groups

  • Respite/Recreation

  • Kin Assistant Training through Community and Senior Services

  • Kinship, Education, Preparation and Support Training

  • Transportation

Kinship Liaison Program

Kinship Care Liaisons provide relative caregivers and their Children Services Workers with information about Kinship-related issues such as KinGAP, adoptions, orientation and KEPs training, home approval process, permanency options and planning, and the Kinship Resource Center Services. They also fulfill an important role in establishing a closer service oriented relationship with community based agencies and organizations providing support, services and resources to Kinship families.
