Join the Los Angeles Reproductive Health Equity Project for Foster Youth (LA RHEP) for a dynamic roundtable discussion and strategy session on ways providers can support, uplift, and empower expectant and parenting youth in Los Angeles County’s foster care system.
We will open with data results from both LA RHEP’s Qualitative evaluation of the DCFS Expectant and Parenting Youth (EPY) Conferences Program and a story-driven, first-hand experience of what it’s like to parent while navigating the foster care system. Our roundtable will include a panelist of experts who, collectively, can speak to the unique needs and strategies to support those needs, of both young women and men, who are parenting while in foster care. We will close out the roundtable with breakout sessions, to find tangible ways providers can center and support the experiences of expectant and parenting youth in care.
Lunch will be provided.
