Jovenes is looking for compassionate community members in LA County who have a spare bedroom and would like to volunteer to host a youth (ages 18-24) experiencing housing insecurities for up to 6 months. Hosts will receive $500/month as compensation and do not need to provide food or supplies. With 30 years of experience, you can count on Jovenes to match you with the right youth from our pool of applicants. Jovenes’ Host coordinator, will give Hosts constant support and is available 24/7 so you always have someone to turn to for immediate guidance.
All Host Homes youth go through a background check and is interviewed by Hosts before making the decision of whether they’d like to host them. You will also create a housing contract with the youth to eliminate any concerns or hassles. During the 6 months, Jovenes will work diligently to identify and place the youth in permanent housing.
