Family First Dashboard

Dashboard data depicts the progress of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in the implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act, landmark federal legislation that reorients child welfare systems towards prevention.

Report 1 of 3: Baseline data beginning in September 2021, illustrates the number of children and youth in Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Placements (STRTPs) whose progress included moving into lower levels of care, returning home or having their cases closed.

Report 2 of 3: Dashboard data depicts new placements of children and youth in STRTPs beginning in October 2021 and captures data of children who moved into lower levels of care, returned home or whose cases were closed.

Report 3 of 3: Depicts STRTP required training completed by DCFS staff, including new court requirements.
