Inspirational Foster Youth Who Achieve Academic Success Took Center Stage at 31st Annual “Celebration 2019” Graduation Ceremony
Approximately 170 college-bound young adults, many of them the first in their families to attend college, proudly took center stage to be honored for their success as part of the 31st annual “Celebration 2019: Honoring the Academic Achievements of Foster Youth.” Hundreds gathered to celebrate the graduates as they marched across the stage in this significant milestone in their lives—an occasion marked by academic achievement and triumph over adversity.
Tiffany Haddish, comedian, actress, author, and former foster youth, provided the keynote remarks to the youth, along with Vaneshia Reed, a former foster youth, Celebration 2012 Alumni, and Harvard Fellow who gave an inspirational address.
All graduates receive scholarships and continued financial assistance.
